Dear ORCA community,
the ORCA development teams at the MPI KOFO and FACCTs together
with our collaborators all over the world are delighted to share that
ORCA 6.1.0 will be released on
JUNE 17th 2025
ORCA is a state-of-the-art quantum chemistry package that is distributed
free of charge to academic researchers and licensed to commercial users
by FACCTs. With more than 80000 registered users, ORCA is one of the most
widely used quantum chemistry packages world-wide. Based on the greatly
improved infrastructure introduced with ORCA 6 last year, we made rapid progress such that we can already present ORCA 6.1 to you.
ORCA 6.1 features further efficiency enhancements and also a host of new
functionality that we are very excited about. The release of ORCA 6.1 will again
be accompanied by an online release event for which details will be provided
soon.
We hope to see many of you at the release event and also look forward to see
the exciting science that will be produced with ORCA 6.1 in the future.
